FYI - if you use my given name in public I will defriends you faster than you can breathe. And I will no longer speak to you. I am done with the "I know Staxxy so well I can use her given name" game. Obviously, if you really knew me that well you would know that I hate it when people use my given name and why. Yes, it is my own little psycho weirdness. Yes, I do have damn good reasons for it. Yes, I really do mean it. I am tired of the stress this causes me, I am tired of the mind games. I am tired of this piece of bullshit. It doesn't make you look cool. It makes you look like an asshole. To everyone. No, *really*.
*especially* when my FAMILY calls me Stax.
Get over yourselves, k? I don't care if you "hate using nicknames". That's silly. Half the names people use these days are nicknames, how many people named "Elizabeth" do you know that actually go by the full name? or "Jennifer" or "Michelle" or "Johnathan" or "David"? Good lord, I come from a LONG LINE of people who answer to chosen names instead of their legal names - my mother is Harmonye, my grandparents were Zorro & Vixen.
This is your reality check. you only get this one. If you want to know *why* I feel so strongly about it, and don't - feel free to ask here. I will tell you.
Incidently, this is also the same reason why my LJ is almost *always* friends only.
