bringing the discussion here

"if you lost all that extra weight you would be totally hot"

to whom exactly? And *why* on earth do I want to be attractive to them?

Personally, anyone who is going to be that crass (not to be confused with Krass, who rocks) can kiss my ass. The last thing I want is any reason for them to try and suck oxygen from my personal space.

I am pleased to see jucier women showing up on television. But the movies are so few and far between that it is pretty easy to name them all.

And that's bullshit and needs to stop.

Especially if my experiences are any indication - lots of people think plumper women are HOT HOT HOT.

Let's storm the castle and beat some sense into hollywood. Who's with me?

Then there's the gush response. "I did not know that! Thank you for informing me! Of course *your* opinion means more to me than that of anyone else in the entire world! Who could I trust more than a complete stranger? So how much do *you* think I need to loose, 10, 20, maybe 50 pounds? I'll let my doctor know you said so because *you* know best, don't you. And you know what! I'll save so much on grocery bills! Oh thank you for your *expert* opinion on how I should look! I'll get right on it and stop eating so that I can look as good as *you* think I should!" and so on, all said with my warmest smile and sweetest voice. If I'm on a roll I'll either do my best to keep them right there (especially if there's an audience) or even worse I'll follow them around like a groupie and let everyone know just how grateful I am that they told me how hot I'd look if I lost weight (at least until I get bored and/or can no longer keep a straight face).
