Sometimes old friends are the best kind.
Jul. 5th, 2002 01:19 pmI had a truly lovely time at the party yesterday. Hell I was there for about 12 hours. ;)
There were lots of new friends that I really am fond of, YAY... but there were also a lot of old friends too, some I hadn't seen in a really long time, so long in fact, I didn't recognize them. Altho I will grant that those were the people I was never that close to. But the people I have known so long that I don't even remember where or how I met them, we just have suppositions and contextual extrapolations to go by...
I have to give a big thank you to one particular Princess for having this party, you my dear are truly the best.
It was so fantastic to be surrounded by people I had known for varying lengths of time (ranging from 15 years 15 minutes), and people I had not seen in years that, for a change, I was ENTIRELY happy to see. HOORAY... it is soo much better to stop and smell the tulips on memory lane than to be drug through the rosebushes.
