chocolate heartburn
Jul. 27th, 2002 12:41 amFrom my boring facts list:
"Researchers from the University of Michigan believe that eating chocolate can cause heartburn. The increased levels of serotinin can cause the muscle between the stomach and the esophagus to relax which allows acid from the stomach to rise up and cause heartburn."
the boring facts list is put out by my best friend Carole's dad to a few family friends. It is light entertainment and totally random. Whatever strange factoid Daddy wants to put forth each day. For a couple of weeks 2 years ago the facts were all about Tabasco. Sometimes they are historical. Daddy used to teach History at the prison in Walla Walla before he retired. So he tends to do a lot of research before he posts something as a fact.
Mostly, I figured there were a lot of people this news might be pertinent to.
