More on the Sister front -
Jul. 10th, 2004 02:25 pmOkay, so it has come to my attention (AGAIN) that people think the reason I do not talk about my sister being my sister is that I am ashamed of her or some other stupid nonsense.
I do not talk about my sister (by name) being my sister because there have been a lot of people that have tried to be part of her life only because she is *my* sister. She's an AWESOME person, and is much kinder, sweeter, more patient, more giving, and supportive than I can ever hope to be. No *really*. She deserves a FUCK of a LOT BETTER than to be living *my* shadow, simply because my big personality and outgoing nature means I know a lot of people. It also means a lot more people know me or want to. I get stalked enough by myself, I do not need my stalkers harassing *her* and she REALLY doesn't need that shit.
So yeah, I do actually keep my sister's identity a little bit of a secret. A lot of you of you know her (some of you may not even realize she *is* my sister), a few of you have only met her (and should get to know her because she is TOTALLY worth knowing), and the rest of you have never met her.
We really are *very* different people. We were not raised together. We have a handful of stolen moments spent together and several phone calls. If you think I am protective of my friends, you have never seen me get protective of *her*. She is my Biological sister, and I did not find her until I was 18. I will eventually post the story for my friends to see.
and, ooo look, a public post so EVERYONE can be aware of how I feel about her.
Now, to those of you that have been guilty of it, stop trying to put stupid ideas in her head. And stop trying to drive any wedge between us. You will only get cut off from us both, and permanently.
