Everyone seems to be doing this weird thing with looking up their name on Google and posting a list of what it comes up with.
I got Stax from an old record company name, Stax of Wax. I even have one of their t-shirts. They had a lot of musicians signed up and were very popular in the 50s and 60s but simply could not compete with MoTown Records and went under in the late 70s/early 80s. Oddly enough a friend of mine owns part of the rights to some of the Stax properties (intellectual? honesty I can't recall).
There are 2 dance clubs called Stax, one in France and one in Florida.
There is a Research company online called Stax.
and there is a company in Australia that does outdoor gear (like REI) that is named Stax after their founder, Robert Stax. (spoke with him on IRC)
There is also a Wine and Cocktail Bar named Stax in Japan.
Really, that's about it. I looked it up on Google, but there was nothing new or interesting there.
it would be more fun if it was a surprise I think.
