I made it home

the trip went well.

I got off the airplane and stepped into the airport and became *sticky*. Not sweaty, just Sticky. Like I was misted with corn syrup. and it didn't really go away until I got back on the airplane.

More on the training tomorrow. I promise.

Short story is that it turns out I will be not only the Administrator for the office here, but also the Graphics department, Marketing department, Human Resources Department, and just about anything else you can think of it seems. Those three for sure.

I will be flying down there 3 or 4 more times this year it seems. But it didn't suck, and the sun did not try to eat me.

I am a permanent employee. They even took my picture for the website, and did a questionaire of all of my interests and likes and stuff for the newsletter.

I have a lot of opportunities to grow, and a lot of variety in what I will be doing every day and week. And a lot of support. It's a really fantastic company to be at. I am thrilled. :D

Traveling for work is not my favorite thing. But the opportunities and growth that it yields can be worth it. Glad you are doing so well! You deserve it.

Hey Stax, welcome home! *hug* glad to see you made it through the trip with your sanity and respritory system functional. :D

Well... you could look at the work trips as mini-vacations. Plan to see a show that isn't available in Seattle. Make a point of visiting exotic restaurants. Something like that. Yeah, you have to go places you may not love, but it is the opportunity to explore on your employer's dime. :D

heh. I went to the mall. it was funny, and enlightening, and definitely made a lot of things very much nicer.... but that will be another entry later this week... and a post on the SG..

it is some news I learned in CA that several old schoolie types will be interested in and it will only be in the fashion forum. It's about shoes. The *story* that goes with it will only be available on my Live Journal however. ;)
