I made it home
Aug. 6th, 2002 08:08 pmthe trip went well.
I got off the airplane and stepped into the airport and became *sticky*. Not sweaty, just Sticky. Like I was misted with corn syrup. and it didn't really go away until I got back on the airplane.
More on the training tomorrow. I promise.
Short story is that it turns out I will be not only the Administrator for the office here, but also the Graphics department, Marketing department, Human Resources Department, and just about anything else you can think of it seems. Those three for sure.
I will be flying down there 3 or 4 more times this year it seems. But it didn't suck, and the sun did not try to eat me.
more soon.

Re: I live there now.
Date: 2002-08-06 08:48 pm (UTC)I have a lot of opportunities to grow, and a lot of variety in what I will be doing every day and week. And a lot of support. It's a really fantastic company to be at. I am thrilled. :D

Date: 2002-08-07 11:47 am (UTC)Well... you could look at the work trips as mini-vacations. Plan to see a show that isn't available in Seattle. Make a point of visiting exotic restaurants. Something like that. Yeah, you have to go places you may not love, but it is the opportunity to explore on your employer's dime. :D
*hugs*
