so I had a fucked up conversation at the club this weekend. I was talking to someone about living alone and being able to do whatever I wanted.. (like walk around naked and stuff) and it degenerated into a conversation about stalkers... I had said that the only way to see in my window is to stand in the middle of the street with binoculars and if someone wants to go that far to actually maybe see me walk around my apartment naked, more power to them because I really don't care. And the person I was talking to said that I wouldn't feel that way if I had ever been stalked. So I told them that I have been stalked 5 times now. And they seemed surprised by this.

Why? Because I am not a slender petite pixy of a girl? It left me feeling kind of disturbed by the concepts people have of stalker behavior.

I don't expect anyone to automatically think I have been stalked (unless they have actually been around when I was being stalked), but I also don't expect people to be *surprised* to find out that I do.

Maybe they watch too many movies.

that is actually a possiblity I had not considered. mot of the people that I know that have had stalkers as well haven't had experiences much different than mine.

Strange men just following us all around for a while, watching us in whatever we do. It's creepy and freaky when it happens, but none of them have every been the killer type.

I am pretty lucky that way. I guess I just attract the fan type of stalker... :)
