ok, should I be surprised by this?

staxxyso I have just called the person that called me yesterday about that "job" and got voicemail. I left a message saying "Hi, this is *me* and I could not find your company listed in my records so I was wondering how you got my resume and phone number. I also went to your website and the only two jobs you have listed are not in my field so I am wondering what position is it exactly that you are wanting to interview me for. Please call me back at *my number* so that we can discuss these and other questions I have. We can set up a new interview time when you call as I do not wish to come out to have an interview with you until all of my questions have been answered. Thank you."
I looked up the office line directly and I am trying to reach someone generically to answer a few questions. And what I found is that there is no one to answer any questions really. Their generic line goes directly into their customer service department. (No operator or receptionist? the customer service person I spoke to said they were a fairly large operation -- how large can they be with this kind of phone system?)
Well I have telephoned them. I even left a second message saying that it will take me a good two hours to get out there and I do not know if I have that kind of time to spend on something that may not be remotely right for me.
I am mainly annoyed right now that the suitability of the position and the job explanation were skipped in the conversation yesterday, and the focus was entirely on my suitability for the job. Perhaps they are looking for an admin and are simply not posting it to their website.
If they are, do I really want to work for a company that sounds this much like some sort of scam??
Think I will go back to bed while I wait for this call.
