anyone local got a set of cruches I can borrow?

I fell down the stairs.

I don't appear to have *broken* anything, but it is a Really ugly sprain. I took 3 222s and am icing my foot on the couch, but I can't put any weight on it.

I am so grateful Spydr is up. He gave my foot a bit of a poke and nothing made me scream. *sigh* and insurance won't go live until August...

*shakes tiny fist* CURSES!!!

I'm about to run off to work - but we do have crutches. They were for Luke, so they're definitely tall enough (5'10" and up)

When I get to work I'll check back here and we can arrange to get them to you.

Really? Do you wear tall heels when you're around me?? I could have sworn you had a couple inches on me.

Unfortunately, the crutches will be too tall - they're even a smidge too tall for me at the lowest setting.

not that tall.I usually wear my coffin heels when I am out. they are about 1.5 to2 inches

I have crutches. I'm 5'2" and used the shortest setting, so they should work fine for you. I don't have any way to get them to you, but if we find a way, you can totally use them! Just let me know! :)

Owww. I don't have crutches, but I've got a plastic splint somewhere if you want it. And, of course, good thoughts. Sprains are fiendishly easy to re-injure, so take it easy for a good long time.

I am doing much better. later I will have to post pictures of the awesomeness that is Spydrman - the crutches he got were "standard" and start at 5'10"... so he cut them down for me with my dremel. :D

I once sprained my foot in two places. It swelled up like Fred Flinstone's foot. I was bed bound for a week icing it and on crutches for 6 weeks.

while my immune system sucks, my rebuild system is actually pretty good. I am anticipating being on crutches for a few weeks and then on the cane for the next month or two.

I am sore all over today, but that is not unexpected. I think I am doing a great deal better in general. ANd I will be crashing pretty early for the next couple of days.
