Man. She was at my WVCC graduation, wearing white so it was obviously a good day. She used to accuse one of the ministers at the Methodist church where Ogre went as a kid, of sending her love letters and wanting to carry on with her.

Awww, man. Really, I had no idea she was still around. What an amazing thing that she lasted so long.

I was in grade school and used to go to gymnastics classes at the YMCA. When class was over, I'd walk a couple blocks to the police station so Dad (a cop) could pick me up and take me home. I was on the bench in the lobby when she came in and went up to the dispatch window, fussing and yelling. When she passed me as she left, she warned me not to trust the police, which just made me laugh to myself.

I always worried about her when she stood out by the bridge, shaking her cane at cars. Not a safe place...

She used to scare me when I was a kid. She lived close to my mom and step-dad, and she would always stand in the middle of of the street and yell at the cars as they went by. One day she actually stepped in from of a pickup and started yelling at the guy about his sister's liver.

She crashed my best friend's senior flute recital. She was rather put out that there was no food.

Aaron has a good one about her having lunch "with a friend". I'll let him share that one.

But, yeah, I knew to give her a berth when she was wearing black.

I was having lunch with my grandmother and she came in sat down and ordered two coffees and then two lunches. She had quite the lively conversation with the empty chair and then was getting madder and madder at the fact that her lunch date was not eating. She got all worked up to the point of yelling and screaming. When the owner finally asked her to leave she beet him with her cane all the way out the front door.
She did stop by our house when I was a kid and asked if we were related to those damn political Foremans. She noticed the Foreman on the mailbox.
