ok so this is something that came from a friend of mine... But really, How hard is it to take responsibility for your own language? Personal pet peeve.
It just makes me sad when people refuse to see how much they are promoting the bad ideas behind the words by accepting the common usage of them, ESPECIALLY when they admit that they do not support that bad idea.

Date: 2002-07-25 12:22 am (UTC)I was very tempted to post a link to your Gothic Miss Manners column on being polite and nice to each other.... But in the end I decided against it. I felt it might be too much for me to do...
I just expect people who have intelligence to be responsible for the words they use. It is certainly not as if anyone in our community is suffering from a lack of vocabulary...
