okay kids. I am offline for the next however many hours I can sleep through.

I am taking my phone off the hook.

I am emotionally, physically, and mentally exhausted.

Sirriamnis - I am forwarding a list to you that Rozca compiled for me. that will give you a rough idea at least. I will give you more details when I wake up. I can't see straight.

thank you to everyone who has, is, and will be helping with everything. I could not do this alone. I am glad I do not have to. I am even more glad that none of us does.

Just a quick note for everyone (as before, I will post more on this in detail as soon as I have time & energy together) - Jessica had a deep regard for all faiths and beliefs, she loved religions, she loved faith and belief, she respected all of them and was fascinated by them. This includes her own. She studied them as a passion of interest. She loved spending time talking about religion and different beliefs. There will be things done to make sure that as many different faiths are represented with regards to this. There are masses being said at her Grandmothers church (and have been for the last week), there are a few pagan/wiccan rituals that are being done for her, there are Buddhist services being done for her, and there will be a few others as well. I am making sure that prayers of every faith (that I can) are said for her at the apartment. If you are Catholic and would like to make sure that Catholic prayers are said for her there, please contact me via email to make arrangements. I have arranged for Christian prayers to be said, but I know that Catholic prayers are different and want to make sure they are covered.

pardon me if I am all stumbly with my language. I am exhausted, as I mentioned before. But this has come up a few times recently, and I wanted to make a few points a little more clear. Please do not get offended if another religion is being represented, it does not mean that yours is being ignored. For further pursuit of this train, please see the second half of this post. Everyone gets to mourn in their own way. Jillian has volunteered to be my enforcer, not a threat but it is a fact. Have a little respect for each other out there kids. Jessica loved all of you, maybe you should give each other a little more love on her behalf.

[this long winded rambling brought to you by several people over the last few days not any specific incident. Some people have been very respectful and just wondering if that respect was a two way street (it is).]

If you are concerned that your faith may be left out of things and need to have a service or prayers said for your own closure, email me privately.

now I sleep. And it isn't that I am ignoring *you* when I don't respond to anything before tomorrow later afternoon, it is that I am ignoring *everyone*.

I need uninterrupted sleep. period.

If anyone would like to say Kaddish, here (http://www.yahrzeit.org/kaddish_eng.html) is a good translation and transliteration.

Heh. We are so diverse! It'll happen, but not at the apartment - it takes a minyan for it to be O.K. - it'll be done, though. Looks like another reason for me to go find Chabad.

My family is Catholic, and my grandmother is the holiest person I know (in a good way). If you would like, I can ask my grandparents to tell me what the Lord's Prayer is, and I will say it for her in the apartment. I am not a practicing Catholic (I don't know many people who are), but I think that my words, and that prayer would still be heartfelt.

"Our Father, who are in Heaven,
Hallowed by thy name.
Thy Kingdom Come, Thy will be done,
On Earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive our tresspasses,
as we forgive those who tresspass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory are yours,
Now and forever.
Amen."

That's what I recall from memory and without caffeine.

I have the Aramaic translation somewhere... not that I'm saying it's needed, but I thought it'd be nice.

I can look up Roman Catholic prayers, etc. We talked about Catholicism a fair bit.

Oh yeah - one simple prayer - Catholics can pray the Rosary for her memory/soul/etc. I'll link to it later.

Praying the Rosary takes a longish time---about fifteen minutes if you're doing only one set of Mysteries. I love it (and have been doing it for Jessica's soul), but it may not be appropriate for a room full of non-Catholics. It's pretty darn repetitive.

But, if you would like to, you and I (and any other Cat'licks in the scene) can say a Rosary at her apartment.

I'd be down with that. I'd be honored to do such a thing for a fellow Catlicker.

would you like to come by the apartment to say prayers for her there?

I can arrange the Catholic Prayers, if you like.

As a practicing Catholic, I can also do so.

I suggest this one: (the Catholics can do the response)

Saints of God, come to his/her aid!
Come to meet him/her, angels of God!
[Response] Receive his/her soul and present him/her to God the Most High.

May Christ, who called you, take you to himself;
may angels lead you to Abraham's side.
[Response] Receive . . .

Give him/her eternal rest, O Loving God,
and may your light shine on him/her for ever.
[Response] Receive . . .

Let us Pray.

All-powerful and merciful God,
we commend to you, N., your servant.
In your mercy and love,
blot out all the hurts he/she has committed through human weakness.
In this world he/ she has died: let him/her live with you for ever.

We ask this through Christ our Lord and Brother.

AMEN.

V/. Eternal rest grant unto him/her, O Loving God.
And let perpetual light shine upon him/her.
R/. Amen.

V/. May he/she rest in peace.
R/. Amen.

V/. May his/her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
R/. Amen.

Then, for the mourners:

Loving God,
you are attentive to the voice of our pleading.
Let us find in your Son, our Brother, comfort in our sadness,
certainty in our doubt,
and courage to live through this hour.
Make our faith strong through Christ our Lord and Brother.

R/. Amen.

Lord,
N. is gone now from this earthly dwelling,
and has left behind those who mourn his/her absence.
Grant that we may hold his/her memory dear,
never bitter for what we have lost
nor in regret for the past,
but always in hope of the eternal kingdom
where you will bring us together again.
We ask this through Christ our Lord and Brother.
R/. Amen.
